Amazing Hiking Access

I could start the Shirley Canyon hike right on the hotel, which was very nice. The hike to Shirley Lake was absolutely stunning, and I truly enjoyed being so close to nature. I also appreciated the free bikes available to ride along the beautiful trail by the Truckee River. It made keeping active during my stay so enjoyable!

Comfortable Family Layout

Fun Family Activities

The resort was very family-friendly, with lots of activities for kids. There were large board games and a game room with a pool table, which kept everyone entertained. The hammock area was a nice touch, allowing us to relax while the kids had fun playing outside.

Relaxing Heated Pool

I loved making use of the heated pool; it was maintained at a perfect temperature even in the fall. After a long day of hiking and activities, it felt great to unwind. The nearby hot tubs were also a plus, providing a perfect setting for relaxation after our outdoor adventures.

My stay at the Olympic Village Inn was truly enjoyable, primarily thanks to the friendly and helpful staff who went above and beyond to ensure a great experience. The facilities, while a bit dated, were well maintained and offered a peaceful atmosphere to relax after a long day of activities. However, there were a couple of minor issues, such as a poorly functioning room heater and some hot tubs not available, which slightly impacted my stay.
